thank you for buying our GR-Mount-System. The Tele-Optic GR-Mounts are compact and very efficiently working azimuth mounts. The GR-DX has been designed for an easy telescope use. The TV-model (TwinView) has a second bracket for observing with two telescopes. The GR-mounts are made of high-strength aluminium alloy and are manufactured on the latest CNC machines. The mounts can easily be fixed on almost every tripod. The Tele-Optic mounts are anodised in either silver/black/red. They are designed on a modular basis and, against extra charge, can be upgraded by accessories like a counterweight bar plus counterweight or Tele-Optic mounting plates, prism clamps, bino rails etc.
Please set up your tripod roughly in balance. Before observation, the telescope and its accessories have to be brought in full balance. You can achieve this by shifting the optical unit in the tube clamps and/or in the optional prism clamp. Once this is done, you can almost completely work without the brakes  in both axes. Please note that the centre of gravity changes when you change the eyepiece and the telescope may shift. In this case, please fix the axis with the brakes. For heavy telescopes, a counterweight bar with counterweights can be fixed on the GR-mount on the side opposite the telescope .Commercial Vixen or Synta counterweights with a drilling diameter of 20mm fit on the GR-Counterweight-bar. By attaching an additional bracket on the mount on the side opposite the telescope  the GR-mount becomes the GR-TV model (TwinView). This model permits using two telescopes simultaneously, a useful upgrade, which makes itself paid particularly at guided star tours at observatories or when comparing optics.
GR-mounts are completely maintenance free. If you nevertheless have problems with our products please do not disassemble the mounting system yourself. In this case, serious errors may occur unintentionally. The warranty claim then expires automatically.
